In this ad they use the colors to try to convince when you first look that it'll be a heartfelt, but when you read the text you're surprised by the fact that he's talking about 'missing his lung.' It makes it slightly dramatic too. It shocks the reader and when you realize what it's advertising you get a wholle new view on the product.

I like the point this puts across, and the way it does it. Very good idea to only use and 1/8 of the board to show that all you really need. For the designers they had to make their point made, and to conserve water is what they are trying to advertise. By using one a small space and leaving the rest completely empty, you realize that you really don't need that much water, and probably use more that you need.

Gestalt, Closure

This Picture uses the Gestalt property of closure because the red lines to do not make a box, but let our eyes assume and see a box in the center of this image. This is a cool picture mostly because you see the box without the lines having to actually physically be there.

Allys 9/10/09 Blog

My eye was instantly drawn to this design. With the simplicity of the carton itself, and the bold colors it is easy to see why these containers are aestetically pleasing. How far the drop goes down tells you whether the milk is whole, two or one. It is very unique and well designed.
